Podcast 40: The Devil Went Down to Ventax II

Other titles considered for this podcast: "Kissing in the Mouth," "Is It Possible We Need to Make Second Contact on Risa?" and "Sleeping With New Life and New Civilizations." It seems this batch has a bit of a seductive edge to it, what with Ardra, that glasses chick who actually out-riked Riker and also those aliens that liked to visit Troi in her sleep.

If you listen carefully, you can hear J.R. deep cleaning his keyboard during the podcast.

Podcast 39: Keeping Up With the Cardassians

Despite J.R. being stuck in another warp bubble during much of the recording of this podcast, we had some wonderful uplifting discussion on racism, dehydration, pettiness and the whimsy that is "Data's Day."

Also, we OBVIOUSLY recorded this long before the B.Y.U. - Florida State game.

YouTube links that Phil sent us that have to do with the homoeroticy relationship of Jean-Luc and Wesley can be found here and here.

Read a version of the story Flatland mentioned by Joey right here.

Podcast 40 on its way soon!

We've set up a time to record Wednesday at 5:00 pm MDT. I'm pretty sure that's 7 on the east coast, 4 on the west and uhhh... midnightish in England and four days from now in Australia. Someone needs to send us a timezone globe.

Yes, we know podcast 39 was never uploaded, well it's coming very very soon.

We will at least cover:

"Devil's Due"
"Clues"
"First Contact"
"Galaxy's Child"

We may cover if we have time or if we feel like it:

"Night Terrors"
"Identity Crisis"
"The Nth Degree"
"Qpid"

Also maybe whatever episodes are after that.

Send in whatever!

We'll probably be broadcasting live, so you can find us at ustream at one or both of the following:

Podcast 38: Rod Serling Loves Tromboners

J.R. alluded last time that there were some "Twilight Zone" type episodes on the way. Well, here they are! Plus we got some real sweet Worf harmony and some Yar from the grave sorta. This one ran a bit long, so you're welcome (just kidding -- we're sorry!) and it sort of makes up for the last podcast which was incredibly short and rushed (but still sorta turned out okay).

Find out the meaning of Worfanus here.

Also make sure to go here.

Please vote in the poll on the blog! You only have one day left to vote! What episode should we play the drinking game to?

Hurry and vote in the poll! HURRY!

Notice we have a NEW POLL up that you only have until the nines (09/09/09) to vote on. We're planning on playing the Star Trek Drinking Game again for one of the last episodes of season four. Also, we're planning on focusing on a specific character within the episode. For example, "The Host" is an episode primarily about Beverly, so if "The Host" wins, the plan is to diligently abide by the "Beverly Crusher rules" of the drinking game.

Anyway, pick the episode (and character) you most want all of us to participate in. There is a chance we'll make adjustments.

Oh! Check out the rules for the game:

http://www.duke.edu/web/DRAGO/humor/trek/drink_trek.html

And once again neither of us actually drink alcohol, so do whatever. Wouldn't recommend alcohol because there's a lot of potential for heavy unhealthy amounts of fluid here. I'm planning on prune juice. Fitting.
