Podcast 49: Be My Kamalatine

Just in time for Valentine's Day! How perfect because Famke Janssen makes an appearance in the podcast and she's probably the cutest chick to ever grace Next Generation videotape. Of course we also get lots of brotherly love with Geordi and a robot. Then there's all the imaginary love. Lots of love! As a bonus we get a rollicking episode where people are invisible and Romulans fly through walls into the cold darkness of deep space. Rollicking.

Podcast breakdown:

0:00 -- nuqneH, Super Bowl, football (soccer), Valentine's Day album, Lost
18:16 -- "The Perfect Mate"

Space Academy IV: She-men on Patrol

This was recorded on a very important Groundhog Day. Hoping to get this posted before the Lost premier, but it was simply an impossibility. Oh well. Hey, despite the title of this one, we talked about a lot of hot chicks -- so many in fact that we didn't have room to discuss the episode with Famke Janssen. Overall, some pretty good eps this time around, with one that's not worth mentioning.

Don't you think Geordi would've gotten deja vu before Beverly? I mean, he's the one with the visor with the residual images. They needed Crusher to be a bit more useful, perhaps.

Hoping to put an audio clip of the berries and cream lad at the end of this episode, but I totally forgot.

Podcast breakdown:

0:00 -- nuqneH, Groundhog Day, Oscar nominations, Lost, Star Trek Online
18:35 -- "The Outcast"
33:50 -- "Cause and Effect"

Podcast 47: Kneel Before Deanna Zod!

You shoulda been there for this recording, you really shoulda. Those who were able to be in the chatroom got some attention from us that isn't THAT distracting on the final recording. Well, hopefully it isn't. Here's assuming that you don't get too confused when we're just chatting along and then suddenly we start talking about something completely different that was provoked by discussion in the chat room. Hmm. Maybe we should have voted Ustream chatroom as our favorite technology.

Hey! Over two hours again! Good times. Good stretched out, sprawling times.

We made a mistake while talking about the Star Wars authors. Apparently there really is a Kahn AND a Zahn. Talk to Tim if you're still confused.

Podcast breakdown:

0:00 -- nuqneH and holiday report
3:33 -- The big Star Trek Online discussion
7:40 -- Continued BS-ing

Podcast 46: Worf's Kid vs. Data's Kid

We start with three dud episodes and then get to a good one, or we start with the good one and then have three duds. It totally depends on who who ask. Which do you think is lamer: a time traveling Max Headroom or mind-rape? Of course in the middle there we have to talk about Worf's kid and Data's young friend who wants to be just like him. Wonderful. We probably would have gotten to a lot more, but hey we just had to talk about Avatar for a while (which will probably be on DVD by the time you actually listen).

Btw, we may have set a new record for outtakes. If you listen to them all you'll find out why it's so difficult for us to produce these things.

Podcast breakdown:

0:00 -- nuqneH and holiday report
9:14 -- The big long Avatar discussion
26:56 -- "A Matter of Time"
44:31 -- "New Ground"
53:54 -- "Hero Worship"
