Podcast 65: Bullets Are Better

Okay, here it is. It's everybody's FAVORITE TNG movie -- Star Trek: First Contact. I really don't know why everybody likes it. It doesn't even have Riker making first contact through riking. Time travel and the Borg. How can you go wrong? The story writes itself!

Podcast 64: Oh My

We assumed that everyone wanted to tune in to find out if we were going to go on to DS9, but it appears everyone wanted to tune in to vent about how much they hated Star Trek: Generations. You call yourselves Star Trek fans people? I think the only reason they made this movie is to have an excuse to ease into the new "black space" Federation uniforms.

Btw, we make the DS9 announcement at the very beginning!

Podcast 63: The Best of One World

Alright! Here we go over the best/worst of every category imaginable for TNG. This actually went LONGER than expected. Thanks to all the listeners who provided some great categories that had us talking for two hours alone (that's MINUS our top/bottom ten lists)! Had a beast of a time getting the production for this one done. Bad karma probably. Listen all the way to the end to find out why. No podcast summary, but here's a summary. For nearly the first two hours we did the TNG awards and starting at 1.56:18 we did our top/bottom ten lists. at about two hours and 25 minutes in we give a major announcement!

Podcast 62: ...Must Come to an End.

Don't be too scared off by this. Yes, we did spend half the time talking about vasectomies, BUT we also spent PLENTY of time going into detail about the final TNG episode "All Good Things..." AND our BIG season 7 WRAP-up (perhaps there was no reason to actually capitalize "wrap" in that sentence). Perhaps some of the girl listeners will get a kick out of how queasy the conversation gets. If you're a guy though, watch out! Especially during the first 15 minutes.

Podcast breakdown:

0:00 -- nuqneH, snip snip, new listeners, DS9 potential
18:51 -- "All Good Things..."

CONTEST! ...plus podcast 61 coming soon!

How would you like your very own very handsome JRWSTFTFT mug?

In honor of J.R.'s COMPLETION of Star Trek: The Next Generation, we are giving away this wonderful mug to a lucky listener. How can YOU win it, you ask? Simple. Just write us a short essay (250 words or less) on who's better: Kirk or Picard. We'll go through the entries and pick our favorite -- and then *clap* FREE MUG! Get your entries in before we record Podcast 62 so that we have enough time to adequately judge.

Also, MAYBE we'll have a separate contest. J.R. still hasn't announced if we're going on to DS9 or not. Whoever writes the essay that pushes him over the edge may win something as well.

Btw, if you think the mug is handsome enough to just buy, you can do that at Cafepress.com. Just do a search for product number 458039212 (I've never done Cafepress before so hopefully everything worked out OK).

Here is the image that wraps around the mug:

ANYWAY, in the meantime we're prepping to record podcast 61 this Thursday. We'll be watching all the rest of the episodes of season 7 EXCEPT for "All Good Things..." Get your comments in. Also remember that we're discussing the results for the Picard drinking game for the episode "Bloodlines." The rules can be found here. Hey you know what would be great to have around during a Star Trek drinking game? Why, a JRWSTFTFT mug of course?

We're recording at 1:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time. Head to Jon's Ustream page at that time to participate in the live chat.
